Grow-up financially-savvy with Union Square Credit Union’s Student Accounts. Designed especially for younger members, Student Accounts teach financial responsibility to everyone in the family. Choose from three, unique and smart options.


Super Saver

For children ages 0-12, the Super Saver account allows our youngest members to practice good financial habits and experience the benefits of managing money well. 

Account Benefits

  • Earn $5 each semester a student brings in his/her A/B honor roll report card
  • No service fees

To be eligible for a Super Saver account, students must have a parent or guardian who is a member of Union Square Credit Union and present at the time the account is opened. A parent or guardian must be named on a child’s Super Saver account and will be jointly liable for the account and its activity. 

(Union Square Credit Union will not collect, use, or disclose online information received from children under age 13 without prior parental notification and consent. Online information will only be used to respond directly to a child’s request and will not be used for any other purpose without prior parental consent.)

Budget Builder

For children ages 13-18, Union Square Credit Union’s Budget Builder checking account helps teenagers grow responsibly toward financial independence. Members can choose to receive cash back or earn simple dividends from this checking account.

To be eligible for a Budget Builder account, students must have a parent or guardian who is a member of Union Square Credit Union and present at the time the account is opened. A parent or guardian must be named on a child’s account and will be jointly liable for the account and its activity. Budget Builder accounts are not eligible for the Courtesy Pay Privilege Program. Daily limits on debit cards are set at Union Square Credit Union’s defaults unless custom limits are set by a parent or guardian.
